Born in Tokyo, Melbourne, Australia based, Designer Ken Takahashi has worked in various fields of entertainment.
Primarily scenic designer, he has engaged in a number of productions; Broadway, Off Broadway, Japan, Australia and the UK encompassing both theatre and film
Productions have featured Bradley Cooper (The Understudy), Japanese Kabuki Legend Tamasaburo Bando (The Peony Pavilion) and Australian Singer Robyn Loau (Music Video "Never Let You Down") to name a few.
Ken attended San Francisco State University where he pursued a theatre major and graduated with a B.A. in Theatre Arts. He went on to pursue a masters program at Boston University, where he received the Dean's Scholarship, and graduated with an MFA in Scenic Design.
Post graduation, Ken moved to New York, working as a freelance scenic designer and an assistant set designer for several Broadway Designers: credits include: 2014 Tony Award Best Musical "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder."
Ken expanded his theatre experience to Tokyo, Japan. He has assisted theatre productions at Centreline Associates,
Art Directing the music video for Robyn Loau's comeback single "Never Let You Down" and the short film "An American Piano" as Production Designer.
Beyond the theatre, new opportunities led Ken back to California where he initially worked as an Art Director for an experiential design studio. From this he advanced into the world of interior design where he found his current passion for 3D Rendering and the artistic creativity that comes with designing new spaces and dwellings.
Working closely with interior designers and exercising his high level of skill pulled from a breadth experience Ken has excelled in presenting the play of scale, shadows and light to produce highly sort after architectural design renderings.
